We require a read-only RFC user with standard monitoring authorizations. The connection uses SAP's native RFC protocol -- the same secure method SAP systems use to communicate with each other. We never write data, execute transactions, or modify your system in any way. The required authorization profile is minimal: display-only access to monitoring function modules (TH_WPINFO, RFC_READ_TABLE, RFC_SYSTEM_INFO, etc.). We provide a detailed authorization setup guide during onboarding.
For critical events (service outages, mass ABAP dumps, aborted critical job chains, database capacity emergencies), we send immediate alerts via email and optionally via SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or PagerDuty -- depending on your preference. For non-critical findings, insights are compiled into your scheduled reports. You define the escalation contacts and alert channels during onboarding.

s4vision only reads system monitoring metadata -- process status, job schedules, error logs, connection health, and system metrics. We never access business data, financial records, customer information, or any application-level content. All connections use SAP's encrypted RFC protocol. We are happy to sign NDAs and data processing agreements. For regulated industries, we can provide a detailed security whitepaper and undergo your vendor assessment process.
